Queen Victoria

With the launch of Queen Victoria in December 2007, three Queens sail together under the Cunard banner for the first time in our history.

To set eyes on her sleek outline, with her distinctive black and red livery, is to recognise her instantly as the latest Classic Cunarder, a unique marriage of heritage and innovation.

As you embark, you'll encounter the dramatic three-tier Grand Lobby, whose magnificent staircase and eye-catching artwork offers a lavish taste of life aboard. Walk around the ship and you’ll see elaborate chandeliers adorn the Queens Room double height ceiling to enhance its calm grandeur. The Winter Garden is all light and relaxation, very much colonial in tone, with decked floors and leafy foliage – its glass roof even opens to the warm breeze.

Elegant and stylish, every public room will create a unique ambience where our renowned White Star Service™ will continue to surpass expectations.

                                Following our finest tradition

Warmly reminiscent of a more gracious era, modern technology combines seamlessly with her classic yet contemporary interior. Crafted to exude elegance with intricate mosaics, gleaming chandeliers and luxuriant marbles. Crafted too, for sublime comfort with plush carpets, rich fabrics and soft furnishings.

In January 2008, she made her first show-stopping global debut departing on her thrilling Maiden World Cruise destined for seafaring folklore. It's a classic Cunard tradition magnificently reinterpreted. Would you expect anything else? Queen Victoria is, after all, a Classic Cunarder.

January 2008 saw another proud moment in our history. As Queen Victoria set off for New York on the first stage of her Maiden World Cruise, her sister, QE2 joined her on an historic tandem Transatlantic Crossing. These elegant Cunarders arrived in New York on January 13 and met their sister, Queen Mary 2 for a great meeting of the three Queens.

Queens Room

Step into the Queens Room to appreciate an ambience reminiscent of that enjoyed by Queen Victoria in her much loved home, Osborne House. Contemporary meets classic with an unmistakable sense of occasion. Cantilevered balconies, ornate frescos and backlit glass panels rise to the height of two decks

Here is the setting for two timeless Cunard traditions: indulgent afternoon tea served by white gloved waiters offering a choice of teas from around the world, and cucumber sandwiches followed by scones served with lashings of jam and clotted cream.

Evenings boast another of Cunards finest traditions as guests take to the floor to enjoy elegant ballroom dancing with a mix of beats to accompany the glittering ball gowns and tuxedoed guests as they whirl and spin to the resident orchestra. Captains cocktail parties, themed balls, the social scene is endless in this most impressive of ballrooms.

The Warmest Welcome

On Queen Victoria, over two thirds of the staterooms have private balconies to catch the sea breeze.  Upholding the classic tradition at sea, your choice of accommodation is matched to your dining style.  Luxuriate in sumptuous Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites with marble bathrooms and butler service in the highest categories.

Dining: An Inspired Selection

Inventive variety is the very hallmark of the flavours, sensations and cuisines in each of our main restaurants. Yet the culinary adventure aboard Queen Victoria extends beyond their elegant menus. So you're always free to act on the impulses of your taste buds and seek out options ranging from the sublimely creative to the superbly casual. Remember too, room service is on call at any time of the day or night from your suite or stateroom. Whatever the moment, excellence and choice always combine memorably on Queen Victoria.

Here the Exceptional is to be Expected

Queen Victoria's pleasurable diversions and distractions ensure you are as thoroughly entertained and entirely relaxed as you would wish to be. It's simply a question of matching your mood to the many pleasures in front of you.

If pampering is your priority, give yourself over to rejuvenating spa therapies and revitalising beauty treatments in the Cunard Royal Spa & Fitness Centre. When discovery calls, compare regional subtleties in wine-tasting classes in the Midships Lounge or expand your expertise with an engaging guest speaker at ConneXions™. In sunny climes, saunter outdoors onto 10,000 square feet of glorious open deck.  Challenge yourself to a length or two of the outdoor pool before tea. Or dive into an enthralling novel - picked from the Library's 6,000 titles.

Later the curtain rises on sparkling entertainment. The splendid Royal Court Theatre seats 830 and has the first private boxes at sea. Then waltz on the beautifully crafted dance floor beneath the Queens Room's glittering chandeliers.

Endless Potential for Enjoyment

In warm weather, 9 deck is the place to be with a choice of two inviting swimming pools. Pampering is par of the course too, with four whirlpools and a range of indulgent treatments in the Cunard Royal Spa & Fitness Centre. For relaxation of the mind, browse an array of titles in the library where rich wood panelling, stained glass and a spiral staircase create a haven of tranquility.

For retail therapy, stroll through The Royal Arcade on 3 deck, where designer names reside in porticoes adorned with fabulous wrought iron flourishes. Then retreat to the magnificent Winter Garden adjacent to the main pool, sipping fresh fruit juice, the retractable roof lets you feel the warmth of the sun on your face without stepping outside.

The Curtain Rises...

Queen Victoria's grand and elegant public rooms are each dedicated to setting the right tone for your relaxation and pleasure. In the Royal Court Theatre, three levels create a grand auditorium and intricately fronted private boxes provide extra glamour in a setting worthy of scintillating entertainment. The Commodore Club gloriously recalls our rich heritage as you contemplate what lies beyond the horizon or watch the sun set over the bow. Your perspective from Hemispheres, with its domed glass roof, is equally spectacular. Sip exotic cocktails as the band swings and the illuminated main pool gives off a turquoise glow below. Yet this is only the merest hint of what you can expect on board.
