ITINERARY
Friday: UK to Shanghai 
Fly overnight Glasgow to Shanghai
Saturday: Shanghai 
Welcome to Shanghai; you will be met and transferred to your hotel with free time until dinner.
Sunday: Shanghai 
Tour Old Shanghai and Yuyan Garden then drive along the Bund - the elegant river front. After lunch visit the Shanghai Museum. Chinese acrobatic show in the evening. (B, L, D)
Monday: Shanghai to Yichang 
The morning is at your leisure. After a local restaurant lunch, fly to Yichang to board the MV Century Star to begin your cruise. (B, D)
Tuesday: Three Gorges Dam 
Morning cruising then enjoy lunch sailing through Xiling Gorge. Tour the engineering masterpiece the Three Gorges Dam then sail the five-stage ship locks. (B, L, D)
Wednesday: Three Gorges Dam & Lesser Three Gorges 
For the next 150 miles, you’ll travel the most scenic stretch of the Yangtze known as the Three Gorges, including Wu (Witches) Gorge and Qutang Gorge, the most spectacular. (B, L, D)
Thursday: Lesser Three Gorges 
Excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, a graceful town below mountains. Or take a trip to the unique Snow Jade Cave, over 1,022 miles long. (B, L, D)
Friday: Chongqing to Xian 
See giant pandas at the Chongqing Zoo on a tour of Chongqing city. Then fly to Xian, Tang Dynasty key city, dinner locally. (B, L, D)
Saturday: Xian 
Tour the mausoleum where Emperor Qin Shi Huang was laid to rest over 2,000 years ago with thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors. Tang Dynasty dinner show. (B, L, D)
Sunday: Xian to Beijing 
Visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. After lunch fly China’s former capital, Beijing, for a three-night stay. Dinner at a local restaurant followed by free time. (B, L, D)
Monday: Beijing 
Tour the Temple of Heaven, largest altar in China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then take in the Great Wall at Mutianya with cable car up and down. Dinner on your own. (B, L)
Tuesday: Beijing 
Beijing tour – experience Tiananmen Square, then tour Beijing’s Forbidden City. After lunch, see the Summer Palace. Farewell Peking duck dinner. (B, L, D)
Wednesday: Beijing 
After breakfast, check out of your hotel then transfer to the airport for your return flight.
