 Day 1 - Day 2: Depart from Home

Day 3 : Arrive Melbourne, Australia 
 
 
Your tour begins in the beautiful Victorian city of
Melbourne on the shores of Port Phillip Bay. You’ll
immediately sense its lively and cosmopolitan pulse.
Today dinner will be included.
 
 
Day 4 : Melbourne 
 
 
Today’s tour of Melbourne features Fitzroy
Gardens, valued for their historic, architectural and
horticultural significance. Later, you may participate
in an optional tour that travels to PhillipIsland,
the home of the world’s largest colony of Little
Penguins. See hundreds of these lovable birds
waddling out from the sea as they cross the beach
and head to their burrows in the dunes during
the Little Penguin Parade. On this option, which
includes dinner, you also visit the interpretation
center to explore the life of the Little Penguins.

Day 5: Melbourne - Adelaide - Barossa Valley 
 
 
Fly to Adelaide, capital of South Australia. Upon
arrival, head out to Australia’s most famous wine
region, the BarossaValley. Renowned among
connoisseurs, the valley’s award-winning wines
attract visitors from all over the world. Tonight, enjoy
a fantastic dinner overlooking the vineyards.

Day 6: Barossa Valley 
 
 
Set out on a sightseeing tour of the BarossaValley.
Indulge as you visit a few local wineries to learn
about the history and geography of the region
and why the wines garner such high praise. Try
everything from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir to more
exotic blends. And don’t worry; you don’t have to
be a connoisseur to enjoy yourself. Experts explain
the lore and allure of South Australian wine.

Day 7: Barossa Valley - Sydney 
 
 
Head for the exciting city of Sydney! Tonight, sample
Sydney’s best dining experiences – all in a single
evening. Think of it as an epicurean tour with each
course in a different, unforgettable restaurant on
Sydney’s stunning DarlingHarbour.
Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
 
 
Day 8: Sydney 
 
 
Enjoy a full day exploring Australia’s cosmopolitan
gem. Begin with a tour that includes sights such as
Kings Cross, the HarbourBridge, Chinatown, the
Rocks, Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the
fashionable suburb of Paddington. Discover one of
the world’s most fascinating architectural sites as you
take a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House, poised
majestically on SydneyHarbour. Next, journey to the
National Opal Collection for a fascinating presentation.
Learn how raw opals are transformed as they
move from the dark mine shafts to beautiful artistic
creations. Your discovery of Sydney continues with
time to pursue your own interests. Stroll through the
city streets, visit the historic Rocks District or simply
relax. Your tour manager will be on hand to offer
suggestions.

Day 9: Sydney - Blue Mountains - Sydney 
 
 
Today is one of the most scenic days of your Aussie
trek. Head to the Blue Mountains of New South Wales,
a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. The Blue
Mountains are rife with geological inspiration as can
be witnessed at The Three Sisters sandstone rock
formations, the region’s most notable attraction.
Experience sandstone plateaus, valleys, river gorges
and pristine wilderness among other natural wonders
during this journey. If you’re lucky, you may even see
wild kangaroos. Later, savor some leisure time this
evening to explore on your own.

Day 10 : Sydney 
 
 
Your day is at leisure. Those interested in wildlife
may take advantage of an optional tour to Koala
Park for an up-close and personal chance to learn
about the different types of native wildlife. Walk
amongst wallabies, indigenous birds, kangaroos,
dingoes and koalas. Experience the koala habitat
where you can even take your picture with a koala!
Or perhaps use today to walk around the city and
do some shopping or find a local café and relax.
This evening, say farewell to Sydney with an
unforgettable experience as you dine while cruising
the SydneyHarbour. Marvel at grand views of the
city’s great icons - the HarbourBridge and the
Sydney Opera House.

Day 11 : Sydney - Alice Springs 
 
 
This morning, depart for Alice Springs and delve into
life in the remote Outback. A sightseeing tour of the
area includes the Old Telegraph Station where you
learn how people communicated in the 1800’s. Gain
insight into the educational syof the Air; you may even see a class in session! A
special experience is in store for you this afternoon
as you will have the opportunity to meet the young
Aboriginal group, Drum Atweme. Tonight, enjoy
dining and entertainment during a traditional dinner
in the bush. Bask in Outback hospitality under the
stars of the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 12 : Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
 
Today you journey to Uluru, the Aboriginal name
for Ayers Rock. Set in the heart of the Australian
Outback, this huge monolith and the sandstone
domes known as Kata Tjuta were created through
the process of upheaval and erosion. As the sun
sets, enjoy a champagne toast and watch as Uluru
magically changes colour.

 Day 13 : Uluru
 
 
 
This morning, meet your fellow travellers at the
Circle of Sand in the town square. Here you will
be met by your local Anangu guide to have a
“yarn,” the word commonly used by the Indigenous
people meaning “to have a chat” or to “story-tell.”
The yarn you receive depends on the season.
Next, tour beautiful Kata Tjuta and the base of “the
Rock,” learning about their geological beginning
and attributes. Most importantly, discover their
significance to Aboriginal culture.
Today breakfast will be included.
 
 
 
Day 14 : Uluru - Cairns 
 
 
Leaving behind Australia’s Outback, you are off to
Cairns, the tropical gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
One of the world’s most spectacular natural attractions
and a haven for thousands of species, the Reef was
designated a World Heritage site in 1981.

Day 15 : Cairns 
 
 
This morning, board the Skyrail Rain Forest Cableway
for an unforgettable ride above the rain forest
canopy. There are two stops where you may get off
the cableway and experience the forest floor from
specially designed boardwalks. The amazing diversity
of plants, animals and birds simply astounds. This
afternoon a thrilling undertaking awaits as you search
for crocodiles in their natural habitat during a visit to
Hartley`s Croc Farm. Boardwalks take you on a path
of adventure through rain forests and woodlands to
see animals such as wild birds, reptiles and wallabies.
While visiting you also have the opportunity to meet
some of the local koalas and have a private talk with
a wildlife naturalist to learn more about these cuddly
creatures. Embark on an exciting cruise in the lagoon
looking for crocodiles before enjoying a delicious
Aussie barbecue.

Day 16 : Great Barrier Reef 
 
 
Board a high-speed catamaran for an exciting
excursion on the Great Barrier Reef. From your
base on GreenIsland, you are able to explore
the reef in many ways. Enjoy a trip on a glass
bottom boat where beautifully coloured fish swim
beneath in their natural habitat. Choose a stroll on
the walking trail to take in the rain forest and the
beaches, snorkel or watch the fish and sea turtles
swim past from the pier. You may also visit the
underwater observatory. For a more adventurous
encounter with the reef, optional scuba diving
and an outer reef tour are also available.

Day 17 : Cairns 
 
 
Enjoy a free day to relax and take a walk on the
tropical beach. Or, you may choose to take an
optional tour to TjapukaiPark where you can try
your hand at throwing a boomerang and learn about
the native Aboriginal people at this award-winning
park. Tonight, celebrate at your farewell dinner as
you toast to the end of a fantastic journey through
the place known the world over as the land down
under!

Day 18 : Cairns - Depart For Home 
 
 
You depart for home with wonderful memories
