Resort Information
Equally favoured by mild winds in the winter and cooling breezes in the summer, Lake Garda provides a perfect backdrop for enjoyable holidays. Each of our hotels offers an base from which to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the excursion programme.
Malcesine
On the north-eastern shore, Malcesine, together with its quieter neighbours Assenza di Brenzone and Castelletto di Brenzone, boasts a delightful mix of twisting alleyways and bustling, flower-strewn squares. Visit the 13th-century castle, or take the funicular ride to the summit of Monte Baldo.
Limone
Delightful Limone, on the lake's western shore, is named for the terraced citrus groves on the surrounding hills. Colourful and bustling, with cobbled streets leading down to the lakeside, Limone is a perfect holiday resort, with an energetic nightlife to complement the relaxed, sun-blessed days.
Itinerary
Day One
Fly to Italy and transfer to Lake Garda and your hotel. After a chance to relax and familiarise yourself with your surroundings, enjoy dinner in the hotel.
Day Two
Today is free for you to relax and explore your hotel and resort. Favourites with our clients for many years, both Malcesine and Limone have much to offer. Stroll the lakeside promenades, shop, watch the world go by from a pavement cafe or perhaps take to the waters of the lake itself.
Day Three
Today's Grand Circular Tour of the lake, by coach and steamer, is the perfect way to enjoy the area's marvellous scenery and to explore some of the delightful lakeside resorts. Each section of the shoreline has its own distinctive charm and allure.
Day Four
Today we'll spend half a day exploring "fair Verona", the historic backdrop for the tragic tale of "Juliet and her Romeo" and home to the famous opera season held yearly in its Roman amphitheatre. Explore this fascinating place, then take a seat in an open-air cafe in Piazza Bra to watch the world go by.
Day Five
Join us for a full-day, panoramic sightseeing tour through some of Europe's most spectacular mountains - the Dolomites. Our journey includes a visit to Canazei overlooking dramatic Marmolada, and a crossing of the Sella Pass into Val Gardena, famed for its wooden carvings.
Day Six
Venice, which we'll visit today, is one of the world's most beautiful cities. With its mysterious labyrinth of alleys and waterways, spectacular St Mark's Square and Cathedral, the clock tower, the Doge's Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the mystique of the Palace of Prisons and the Bridge of Sighs, Venice has to be seen to be believed.
Day Seven
Your final full day is free to enjoy the surrounds of the hotel and to explore the resort. Perhaps you'll relive the wonderful memories of the past week over a farewell dinner in the hotel this evening.
Day Eight
Transfer back to the airport for check-in and your flight home.
